Meet Ross T. Burn
After completing his PhD in 2007, Ross joined AstraZeneca as a Senior Analytical Chemist in process R&D. Burn helped launch CatSci Ltd in 2011 and became its Chief Executive Officer in 2015. “Even though new therapeutic modalities are on the rise, there are still limitations to their efficacy, scalability, patient tolerability, and wider adoption by healthcare providers. Small molecule therapeutics will always play a key role in combating diseases due to their relative affordability, greener profile, and well-understood development processes. Additionally, with advances in chemistry, the industry can uncover new molecular entities with unprecedented target activity that can be manufactured at a speed and cost not feasible 10 years ago.”
