Benjamin Franklin’s famous words, “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today,” resonate well with Erik: “We’re proud of the hard work we do – it’s very demanding, but the change we are doing in the field of medicine is extremely rewarding,” he says. On the question of luck, Erik believes that to do amazing things, stars need to align and things need to happen simultaneously. “It’s challenging to predict these things and even explain them in retrospect,” he says. “But the thing with luck is that the harder you work, the luckier you are.”
