“What drives me day-to-day is trying to bring more science into the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. One change I’d like to see in the industry is more mentoring of younger and less experiences employees. With corporate downsizing, frequent job changes, contract employees and outsourcing, it seems to me that the development of employees is no longer a priority. Investing in employees is one of the soundest things a firm can do, yet it is increasingly hard to find that commitment in the industry.”
